Rene is the Practice Manager of Cloud/Automation & DevOps at RoundTower Technologies. He has worked for more than 20 years in the IT and Telecommunications industries. His experience has been very broad and varied, from software development and testing, systems engineering and technical design to systems integration and project management. Rene is a double VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX#133, DCV and NV tracks) and was the first non-Nutanix person to achieve the Nutanix Platform Expert certification (NPX#8). Rene is also a significant contributor to the “virtualization community” through mentoring, blogging, social media and attending industry events.

BYRON SCHALLERPrincipal Architect Emerging Technologies

As a Principal Architect focused on Emerging Technologies, Byron Schaller brings over 18 years of practical experience in Agile Development, Enterprise Cloud Architecture, and DevOps Transformation to RoundTower Technologies.

Byron joins RoundTower after spending 2 years with VMware, where he was responsible for the automation and orchestration of the global infrastructure and software lifecycle management of over ten thousand nodes on 5 continents for the vCloud Air Service.

As the Lead Platform Architect for Deployment Automation, he was responsible for the architectural leadership of the Project Zombie platform automation team and served as an advisory architect to the vSphere, NSX, and vCloud Director development teams. Byron also led the vCloud Air DevOps transformation effort and drove the adoption of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Finally, he was responsible for providing cloud adoption guidance and strategy to enterprise clients as the transitioned to the VCA service.

Byron began his IT career as a systems developer, before spending twelve years consulting in Enterprise Architecture, nine of which were at IBM Global Services. While at IBM, Byron was a founding member of the Enterprise Virtualization services team and helped several Fortune 100 companies with their early adoption of VMware technologies. Byron has received the VMware vExpert award 3 times, was a member the vCloud Air Architectural Governance Council, was elected to the IBM Solution Design Center of Excellence, and is a contributor to several Open Source software projects.

In addition to studies at Purdue University, he currently holds the VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) Data Center Administration, Data Center Design and Cloud Infrastructure Design certifications. Byron also holds certifications from Microsoft, EMC, Netapp, Cisco, Brocade, Tintri, PernixData, Zerto, and ITIL.

Andre WuSR. DIRECTOR OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

As the Senior Director of Emerging Technologies, Andre Wu brings over 20 years of experience in leading the services and solution areas of Cloud, DevOps, Big Data and IT Operations Management for RoundTower Technologies (“RTT”).

Andre joins RTT after spending 5 years with VCE, where he was responsible for a number of key initiatives during it’s rapid ascent as the leader of converged infrastructure. As the Snr Dir for VCE’s Cloud Services practice, he lead a global team which provided consulting and systems integration services for enterprises and services providers to implement and adopt IaaS and PaaS platforms. Andre also led Product Management across services and solution engineering for pre-engineered automation and X-aaS architectures delivered through agile methodologies. Finally, he was responsible the corporate competitive strategy group, where he helped shape the go-to-market sales and engineering direction for VCE.

Prior to VCE, Andre was with IBM for 15 years in a variety of roles most notably as the practice leader for IT Strategy & Architecture, Cloud and ITSM/Middleware services. During this role he was part of the team that brought IBM’s first public cloud offering (IBM Smart Business Development & Test Cloud) to market. He also spent time in various sales management and brand management roles.

In addition to studies at University of California San Diego, he currently holds certifications with TOGAF v9, ITIL v3 and VMware.

KURTIS LINDEMANNCIO

As CTO of RoundTower, Kurtis Lindemann offers more than 20 years of experience as a systems engineer, network consultant, and storage and archiving specialist, having worked at EMC, Network Appliance, and 3Com. Kurtis attained a BS in Computer Science from Ohio State University.

Kurtis was the first employee at RoundTower Technologies and is a “big-picture” thinker, focusing on where technology is going and how it will change the future. He believes that the answers to most business problems can be found in innovation and he spends most of his time looking for them. It is this philosophy that forms the basis of RoundTower’s mission to enable its customers to drive positive business outcomes by becoming more agile and efficient through the use of technology. His area of specialty include engineering management, service delivery, cloud, data protection, network and compute, security and storage.

KEITH ODOMVP OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES

Keith Odom is a twenty-five year veteran in the IT space. He served for sixteen years as a Global Vice President at EMC, managing their Professional Services and Customer Service organizations, as well as their Midwest Presales Technical Team. During his tenure at VCE, he built their services organization from conception to success in just five years, focusing on more efficient delivery of converged infrastructure, cloud automation and orchestration, SAP HANA, and other offerings. Mr. Odom is presently VP of Emerging Technologies at RoundTower, spearheading innovative practices that are revolutionizing business methods and outcomes.
